Welcome to the Curious Wine Cellar
Located in the heart of the North Cotswolds, The Curious Wine Cellar is a small company doing our very best to support all things local. We're also an independent wine merchant... and unlike most wine shops, you can also enjoy drinking your chosen wine on the premises, by the glass or bottle.
We work hard to serve locally sourced produce for you to eat and drink in, or to take away with you. All our very friendly team is local too, and most of them even walk to work.
Our wines...
We are also an independent wine merchant and we always aim to bring you the very best individual wines - both white wines and red wines - that you won't find on the supermarket shelves; indeed, many are unique to this collection. A number are also available by the glass to drink in too.
Eat & Drink
It is a well-known fact that great coffee is always better when you treat yourself to a slice of one of our delicious home-made cakes, or a freshly baked croissant. Or maybe a Danish pastry or square of tray-bake is your thing?
In need of a more substantial hot snack? Then we have the answer in our range of locally made savoury pastries, pasties, sausage rolls and quiches - including equally delicious gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Served from 9am.
Events
We have a "Curious" collection of regular events to keep you entertained. A vibrant mix of local talent performs live music every other Saturday night. Our jolly Town Crier hosts our Curious Quiz Night each month. Plus, we have an array of pop-up restaurants that literally do pop up on a Thursday night roughly once a month. Keep your eye on our social media to make sure you don't miss out.
Four legs?
We love our four-legged customers - we might even go as far to say that dogs are welcome to bring their "well-behaved" owners with them.
So, as long as your furry friend is on a lead and attached to you at all times, then please do bring them in - we have water bowls and a biscuit jar full of doggy treats at the ready.

Bask in the glorious Cotswold summer sunshine - obviously, it never rains here - in our secluded south-facing courtyard garden... or watch the world go by in your front row seat on our pavement patio at the front of The Ox House building in the heart of Northleach... you choose!
